FRAME 25 ARTIST STATEMENT

The witnesses were always there.

Every film contains objects that watched its scenes but never spoke. The bamboo umbrella in Lady Snowblood stood through the killings. The Cadillac in True Romance held the getaway. The power lines in The Birds carried the coming weight. Frame 25 is a documented archive of songs from the perspective of these silent witnesses — testimonies from the objects that were there.

My process begins with a conceptual brief. I identify the film, name the object, and articulate what that witness would have registered — the emotional temperature of the scene, the specific physical events the object recorded, the position it held while the drama moved around it. The brief is the authorial spine of each relic.

Two AI composers work from the same brief in sequence. Gemini builds an initial composition — lyrics, structure, and detailed sonic direction. Claude then audits Gemini's version against a forensic framework I developed — singer test, hook discipline, brief inhabitation, measurement restraint — and produces a counter-version. Suno generates the audio from each composer's direction, translating the sonic descriptions into finished tracks. Both compositions are audited, scored, and documented. I select which version anchors the relic; the unselected version is preserved as the documented counter-version. Nothing is erased. Some relics extend into multiple sonic variations — the same authorial content rendered across different genres, each preserved as parallel readings of the same witness.

I conceived this project and invented its methodology. The creative tests, scoring frameworks, and editorial decisions are mine; the AI systems generate language, sonic direction, and audio under my direction. This authorship structure is documented in my March 2026 U.S. Copyright Office filing.

Frame 25 exists as conceptual art. The methodology is the work; the archive is its documentation. The tracks are not commercial products but evidence — records of what the silent witness knows when finally given a voice.
